About the Opportunity

The role of Finance Manager - Reporting and Analysis is to provide insight into financial and operational performance and work with other departments to improve the profitability of Wafex. The successful candidate will have a foundation in preparing financial and management accounts and will have applied this knowledge to analyse and improve business performance. An ability to extract, analyse, validate and clearly present data is a key skillset for this role. The role reports into the Chief Operating Officer and is based in West Swan. This role has no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce and circulate the monthly management accounts for all Wafex branches. Analyse the P&L and supporting data to identify variances, trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist the COO in the production of the annual financial accounts, income tax return and FBT return.
  • Ownership of the Wafex Group reporting suite (daily/monthly/weekly), designing and building new reports to provide deeper insights into business performance.
  • Responsibility for ensuring inventory costing is accurate using direct and indirect costing.
  • Producing KPI's for key areas of the business, analysing the reasons and trends behind the KPI's and working with colleagues to improve.
  • Prepare adhoc reports and analysis as required.
  • Working with colleagues to produce and present the annual budget and reforecasts.

Skills & Experience requirements:

  • Qualified Financial Professional.
  • Responsibility for producing monthly management accounts and annual financial accounts.
  • Experience of direct and indirect costing methodologies.
  • Excellent financial and analytical skills, comfortable working with large volumes of data from different systems to analyse performance.
  • Responsibility for producing multi-branch budgets using different techniques to forecast performance as accurately as possible.
  • Comfortable working with colleagues from across the business.
  • Flexibility and curiosity, wants to learn new things and able to adapt and take on board new ideas and concepts.
  • Aligned with Wafex's values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Agility and Honour.
  • Previous experience of Business Central, Power BI and JET reports will be highly regarded.
