About the Role

This is a fast-paced job where you are responsible for proactively leading, delegating and overseeing the operations and team for our Afternoon Shift. You will report directly to the Operations Manager and have support from other key roles within the Warehouse along with a large Head Office team.

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 12:00pm to 8:00pm + Alternating Saturday's, 5:00am to 9:00am. Additional hours of work will be required to accommodate for busy periods and will be paid as overtime. Saturday shifts are also paid as overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Shift as per Tradezone's Systems, Policies and Processes
  • Ensure customer orders are picked in a timely and efficient manner by the team
  • Lead the Team in line with the values, mission and ideal culture of the company
  • Complete the daily, weekly and monthly tasks set by the company in a timely, efficient and safe manner
  • Assist the Operations Manager with managing team member's KPI's and providing ongoing individual feedback and drive to continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills when dealing with situations that may arise in the course of your day
  • Meet Key Performance Indicator's (KPI's) set for the Morning Shift Supervisor role
  • Support the team in times of busy periods by providing picking and packing assistance

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • 3-5 years warehouse experience
  • Previous experience in a similar Supervisory role is highly regarded
  • A current forklift license (LF)
  • Must be fit, healthy and understanding of this role being a hands-on manual handling type of job
  • An ability to lead a diverse team in a positive and productive manner
  • Must be a good communicator and a team player
  • A solid understanding of technology and basic IT problem solving skills is highly advantageous
