The Role

Reporting to the CEO, and working closely with the College Registrar and CFO, the Dean will provide strategic academic leadership and ensure the delivery of high-quality education aligned with TEQSA Threshold Standards. The Dean is a member of the Academic Boards and act as the College's academic voice with regulators, industry, and community partners.

• Academic Leadership & Quality
• Staff Management & Performance
• Student Experience
• Curriculum Development
• Financial & Resource Management [managing the academic budget]
• External Relations & Engagement
• Scholarship & Innovation [positioning GBC as a contributor to knowledge and practice]

About You

You are an accomplished academic leader with a proven track record in higher education. You combine deep knowledge and hands-on experience of TEQSA and AQF standards with strong people management skills, financial acumen and a passion for student success. You will demonstrate:

• Significant experience in academic leadership, governance, and compliance.
• Proven ability to lead and inspire academic and professional staff.
• Expertise in curriculum development, program accreditation, and quality assurance.
• Strong understanding of financial and resource management in a higher education context.
• Capacity to build and maintain relationships with regulators, industry, and professional bodies.
• Evidence of fostering scholarship, innovation, or entrepreneurial initiatives.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
