Position overview:
The Australian National University (ANU) is seeking two dynamic and experienced leaders to join the Residential Experience Division as Head of Residence. This is a unique opportunity to shape the student experience at one of The Australian National University's vibrant on-campus residences.
As part of the senior residence management team, the Head of Residence plays a pivotal role in fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically enriching environment for students. You will lead a dedicated team of staff and student leaders to deliver a high-quality residential experience that supports student wellbeing, academic success, and community engagement.
You will set the strategic vision for your residence, manage daily operations, ensure compliance with university policies and contractual requirements, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders creating a welcoming environment that enables students to thrive academically and personally. Success in this role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a deep commitment to equity and inclusion. Experience in residential or student services management is essential, and qualifications or experience in management, education, or a related field are desirable. Flexibility for occasional after hours and on-call work is required.
