We are looking for a 
Network Engineer – Enterprise Networking
in the Digital Services team, this role involves providing Enterprise Network support expertise within Digital Services supporting the team in 
planning, installing, configuring, maintaining
, and 
optimising
all IT and OT Network Technology hardware, software, and communication links, ensuring minimal downtime.

You will also support to diagnose, resolve, and document hardware and software issues, providing end-user support as needed. These responsibilities are essential for maintaining the operational integrity of St John's IT and Emergency Service Infrastructure, ensuring that end users have the necessary tools to perform their jobs effectively.

This position is a 
permanent full-time
 position and based at our head office in 
Belmont
.

What you'll do:

• Manage and support enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, telephony and wireless systems.
• Respond to user requests and incidents, providing timely BAU (Business-As-Usual) fixes and technical assistance.
• Participate in network design, implementation, and performance optimisation initiatives.
• Troubleshoot complex network issues and work with vendors and service providers as needed.
• Maintain network documentation, configurations, and change management records.
• Works alongside / within project teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and guidelines, identifying when adjustments to the enterprise architecture are needed.
• Ensure that technology initiatives are closely aligned with business goals, delivering tangible outcomes.
• Willingness to travel to other St John WA office locations to troubleshoot issues and/or implement new network solutions.
• Participate in an on-call roster to provide after-hours support when required.

What you'll need:

• 5 years of experience required in IT and business/industry work experience including design and deployment and service management
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) highly desirable.
• Previous experience working on both IT and OT environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving complex networking issues.
• Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
