Farm & Property Caretaker – Organic Mango Plantation

Our Current Farm Manager is retiring, so we are seeking a reliable and self-sufficient individual to join our team and help manage a 40-acre organic mango farm and holiday property in Woodwark. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who can work independently, take initiative, and handle a variety of farm and property maintenance tasks.

There will be a detailed hand over and the ability to get help when needed.

About the Role:

  • Casual or permanent part-time (2–3 days per week)
  • Full-time during mango season (December–January, approx. 4–8 weeks)
  • Competitive hourly rate (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mango tree care, pruning, and general orchard maintenance (we get a contractor in once a year)
  • Assisting with and managing mango harvest during peak season
  • Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
  • Mowing, slashing, and general property upkeep, also improving
  • Basic maintenance and care of the on-site holiday house

About You:

  • Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
  • Hard-working with a practical, hands-on approach
  • Experience with mango farming, fruit picking, or similar agricultural work preferred
  • Machinery maintenance skills highly regarded
  • Willingness to adapt and take ownership of varied tasks
