New Graduate Program
We have part-time and full-time opportunities available in the Murray Mallee, Fleurieu, Hills, and Riverland
Why You Should Join Us:
Our new graduate program has been thoughtfully curated to fully support, develop and ensure you will flourish as an Occupational Therapist when you join the TPAG family.
You will have the benefit of working with a large and experienced group of Occupational Therapists who thrive on connection and are extremely passionate about the communities we support as well as the development of our next generation of OTs.
As a new graduate Occupational Therapist at The Potential Ability Group, you will be providing community based therapeutic support. What does this really mean? You will travel to a specified region and see clients during the day, complete your clinical notes and other relevant admin, enjoy the sunshine and views as you feel grateful not to be stuck in an office and of course, enjoy the satisfaction of undertaking meaningful work, supported by a great team. .
6 Focus Points of TPAG's New Graduate Program:
Graded Caseload
- Months 1 to 3: Expectation is to support 1 to 2 clients daily to reduce overwhelm and consolidate skills.
- Months 3 to 6: Expectation is to support around 3 clients each day.
- Direct what you are comfortable with, we will listen.
Support
- We provide structured orientation +++ and can tailor this to your learning style.
- You will participate in focused new graduate supervision with other members of the program to build relationships.
- You will receive reflective practice training to support skill development and therapeutic use of self.
- Regular and ongoing structured and supportive supervision is built into the fabric of the role; both formal and informal supervision is just part of how we practice.
Flexibility
- Start late / finish early, everyone has a different preference for the times that they work best.
- Work your hours around your life… we do
- Time Off in Lieu (TOIL) is in part how we support Work / Life Balance.
- Part-time work is normalised and encouraged at TPAG.
Connection
- We coordinate whole of Team Workshops, not only will you get to know everyone, but it helps to develop trust within the team.
- Shadowing other team members is an excellent way to learn and will form part of your ongoing learning strategy.
- Regular check ins are a system to keep you safe and supported.
- Team building activities are integrated into every get together.
- You will have an allocated Level 1 OT buddy… because sometimes you just want to talk with a peer and friend, and we are all about building strong relationships in our team
- Shared lunches are an integral part of meetings (All dietary requirements are catered for).
- You will be allocated a personal Therapy Coordinator, no need to book appointments or spend hours following up paperwork.

- Collaborative practice is best practice.
Skill Building

- We pay above the award, and you will be paid between $71,217- $74,230 (Full Time Equivalent) by us.
- We don't want you to start until January 2026. Why? Because we want you to have a well-deserved break after all your years of study to enjoy life a little before you start your new role. You've earnt it
- We provide you with a Surface Pro, uniform, and other benefits on top of your salary (+ we pay travel time and km allowance too).
- $5k Loyalty & Retention Bonus.
- We have structured line management for ease of navigation; however, you can reach out to anyone in the team at any time you need.
- We have weekly online OT meetings so we can all see each other's lovely faces and check in around what the week looks like, have robust clinical conversations, and support each other to provide exceptional Occupational Therapy supports to our clients in the community
- We have a daily self-care accrual – this means you can take a short, paid break each day for something like a walk or doing some yoga or you can accrue it and maybe take an afternoon off for a massage
- We have structured pay increases related to annual performance reviews (so you will not ever have to have 'that' awkward conversation).
