We're seeking an experienced electricians to join our installation team, or who are ready to transition into an office-based role, designing solar and battery storage systems using our OpenSolar platform.

About the Roles:

This is a great opportunity to join Australia's only solar panel manufacturer and contribute to the growth of renewable energy. We're seeking both qualified Electricians for solar PV and battery installation, and System Designers looking to apply their electrical expertise in an office-based design and coordination capacity.

As part of our expanding team, you'll play a key role in shaping residential and commercial solar PV and battery systems, ensuring alignment with SAPN requirements and broader infrastructure needs. You'll work closely with multiple departments — including sales, finance, and installation — to deliver compliant, high-quality renewable energy solutions.

For Electricians, you'll be hands-on in installing, commissioning, and testing systems on-site, ensuring all work meets electrical standards and safety requirements. You'll assess electrical infrastructure, identify issues, and implement practical solutions, taking pride in quality workmanship and compliance.

For System Designers, you'll transition off the tools to focus on system layout and design, preparing documentation and supporting project delivery across residential and commercial projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, interpreting standards, and coordinating technical requirements with various teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Electrician (Installation Role)

• Install, commission, and test residential and commercial solar PV and battery systems in line with Australian Standards and SAPN requirements.
• Conduct electrical inspections, verify compliance, and ensure safe and efficient operation of systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot electrical or system issues, applying practical on-site solutions.
• Collaborate with system designers and project managers to ensure smooth installation and accurate implementation of system designs.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction at all times.
• Complete required installation reports, compliance certificates, and documentation accurately and promptly.

System Designer (Office-Based Role)

• Design compliant residential and commercial solar PV and battery systems using industry-standard software (e.g., OpenSolar, Nearmaps).
• Assess site electrical infrastructure, grid connection requirements, and determine optimal system configurations.
• Ensure all system designs meet SAPN, Clean Energy Council, and Australian Standard requirements.
• Liaise with electricians, sales, and finance teams to provide accurate and technically sound designs and quotations.
• Prepare detailed documentation, connection diagrams, and compliance paperwork for project approvals.
• Provide technical advice and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept to installation handover.

What We're Looking For:

• Electrical Licence or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in solar PV and battery system installations or design
• Strong understanding of SAPN connection requirements.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues under pressure.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support other departments.
• High level of IT competency, particularly with cloud-based platforms.
