About us

We are an established privately owned and operated mixed billing practice centrally located in the northern suburbs of Butler.

About the role

  • Ensure the smooth day to day running of our busy front desk
  • Process online claiming including Medicare reconciling and batching
  • Patient billing and receipting ensuring complete accuracy as well as following up on outstanding payments and DNA fees
  • Opening and closing the clinic (some 7.15am starts and 5.30pm finishes on weekdays and some Sunday mornings 8.30am pm)
  • Maintain a welcoming reception and waiting area
  • Administrative duties such as scanning, filing and queries

Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A friendly and professional demeanor with a positive can do attitude
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Prior Medical Receptionist experience (1-2 years essential for this role)
  • Strong organisational and critical thinking skills with the ability to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Possess an outstanding ability to think on your feet and solve problems
  • Confidence to remain calm under pressure
  • Solid MS Word, Excel and Outlook skills
  • Knowledge of Best Practice (desirable)
  • Xero experience (highly regarded)
  • Flexibility with shifts and the ability to cover leave at short notice or as required and reliability (this is essential)
