Job description
SuperChem Blacktown Pharmacy is located in the Western suburbs of Sydney, New South Wales and is part of the SuperChem Pharmacy group, and is open to registered pharmacists and interns. The pharmacy strives to excel in customer service of the local community whilst always maintaining a competitive price advantage.
Key duties will include but not limited to:

Receiving prescriptions, checking patients' medication histories, and ensuring optimal dosage and methods of administration and drug compatibility before dispensing.

Checking prescriptions prepared by dispense technicians.

Counsel patients with the optimal and safe use of medication
-
When necessary preparing and if required supervising the preparation and labelling of liquid medicines, ointments, powders, tablets and other medications for compounded prescriptions
-
Assist in advising prescribers on drug incompatibility and contra-indications
-
Reviewing and monitoring the medicine therapy of individual patients, and assessing the effectiveness of the total medicine therapy

Maintaining prescription files and recording issue of narcotics, poisons and habit-forming drugs
-
Storing and preserving vaccines, serums and other drugs subject to deterioration
-
Supplying non-prescription medicines, and diagnostic and therapeutic aids to patients and
customers . Assist with customer service queries

Maintain all dispensary stock needs through detailed ordering
-
Compliance with all State and Federal pharmacy guidelines whilst providing leadership within the pharmacy

Placing orders for dispensary stock using the dispense software
Key Requirements:

Minimum Provisional AHPRA registration

Excellent communication skills
