Floor Supervisor

About the role

Gambino Restaurant & Rooftop is seeking an experienced Floor Supervisor to join our team in Glen Waverley. As Floor Supervisor, you will be responsible for assisting in overseeing the daily operations of our busy restaurant and rooftop, ensuring exceptional customer service and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation. We have multiple roles for this position with both full-time and part-time availability along with opportunities for career progression within our growing hospitality group.

What you'll be doing

1. Supervising and coordinating the work of the front-of-house team, including servers, hosts, and bussers
2. Ensuring efficient table turnaround and maintaining the flow of service during peak periods
3. Monitoring inventory levels and placing orders for supplies as needed
4. Addressing customer concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
5. Providing training and feedback to front-of-house staff to improve their performance
6. Ensuring the restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness and organisation
7. Assisting the management team with administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar floor supervisor or restaurant management role
2. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
3. Excellent customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities
4. Working knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management and scheduling
5. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
7. Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work well under pressure
