At Connect Family Law, we work with people through some of life's hardest moments. Our legal support staff are a vital part of that making sure our lawyers have everything they need to focus on clients, while also keeping matters organised, efficient, and on track.
What you'll do:
- Prepare, format, and file legal documents through our legal software and court portals
- Manage deadlines, track progress, and keep matters moving
- Liaise with clients to gather information or documents (always with warmth and professionalism)
- Maintain accurate and organised electronic files
- Provide day-to-day admin support to the legal team, from compiling briefs to processing correspondence
- Assist with billing and matter finalisation
What you'll bring:
- Previous experience in legal support, administration, or a related role (family law experience a bonus, but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, you like things accurate and orderly
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn legal software (Smokeball experience is an advantage)
- A calm, professional manner, even when things get busy
- An interest in working in a values-driven, people-first environment
