About the Role:

As a Supervisor, External Services, you'll be a key player in our mission to empower and uplift our employees. Reporting directly to the Coordinating Supervisor, you'll provide crucial guidance, implement tailored vocational activities, and ensure our team's success and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead with Purpose: Oversee external services including gardening, landscaping, and grounds maintenance.
  • Share Your Expertise: Provide technical know-how to enhance productivity and job satisfaction.
  • Train and Empower: Supervise vocational activities and train employees in job skills and equipment use.
  • Assess and Align: Evaluate employee abilities and match tasks to ensure high-quality work.
  • Innovate and Ensure Safety: Assist in developing production methods and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Uphold Standards: Ensure health, safety, and welfare procedures are followed.
  • Foster Harmony: Manage team dynamics and promote a positive work atmosphere.

Requirements of the Job:

  • Proven leadership in team building and client service.
  • Strong personal management and decision-making skills.
  • Effective planning, organizing, and change management abilities.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Previous supervisory experience is essential.
  • Certification in horticulture, landscaping, or gardening is preferred.
  • Proficiency in gardening practices, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
  • Basic computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office.
  • First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Familiarity with Disabilities Services Acts and their principles.
