About the role

This full-time Service Manager position at Katherine Toyota offers a unique opportunity to lead a team of skilled automotive technicians in our Katherine, NT workshop. As the Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our workshop operations, ensuring efficient and effective vehicle servicing and repairs to deliver an outstanding customer experience.

What you'll be doing

  1. Manage and motivate a team of automotive technicians to meet service and repair targets
  2. Oversee the workflow of the workshop to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction
  3. Provide technical expertise and guidance to the team on complex diagnostic and repair issues
  4. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve workshop operations
  5. Manage parts inventory and liaise with suppliers to ensure parts availability
  6. Analyse workshop performance data to identify opportunities for improvement
  7. Foster a positive and safety-focused work environment
  8. Provide exceptional customer service and act as the key point of contact for clients

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Service Manager or equivalent role in the automotive industry
  2. Strong technical knowledge and expertise in vehicle diagnostics and repair
  3. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  4. Ability to effectively manage a team and delegate tasks
  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  6. Proficient in using workshop management software and data analysis
  7. Relevant qualifications in automotive technology or a related field
