Are you looking for a new challenge in your career? Do you want to work for a leading critical minerals company? If you answered yes to these questions, then we have the perfect opportunity for you

About us

lluka Resources is a global critical minerals company, with a proud 70 year history, entering a pivotal time of growth.

With a bright future ahead, we are seeking team members for our exciting Balranald operation where we are deploying a new mining technology. Using remotely operated, novel underground mining (UGM) technology to extract key critical minerals. The technology we have developed enables access to ore bodies previously thought to be uneconomic - in future, we hope it brings potential to unlock other deep deposits of critical minerals, including those nearby to the Balranald project.

About the location

Iluka's Balranald operation is located just outside of Balranald township in regional south-western NSW.

You can choose to reside locally, drive-in drive-out from towns within the regional area, or fly-in fly-out from Melbourne.

For South Australian residents we will mobilise you via road transport from our Iluka office in Adelaide.

About the role

We have an opportunity for a Learning & Development Officer to join our team at our Balranald operation. You will play a critical role in developing the capability of our operational and technical workforce.

Your accountabilities will include:

  • Liaising with site stakeholders to identify, plan, coordinate and deliver specific training needs across site
  • Designing and/or reviewing L&D initiatives and training materials, including presentations, session plans, learner guides, assessments and any procedures that support the creation/amendment of this material
  • Providing learning design expertise to subject matter experts to support the development of new operational training content and materials as required
  • Utilising systems and data to conduct training needs analyses in order to meet competency and compliance requirements
  • Coordinating and scheduling external vendors for delivery of on and off site course delivery and assessment
  • Coordinating and delivering inductions for new employees and contractors visiting the site, including set up of online inductions prior to site arrival
  • Ensuring course policy documentation, assessments and schedules are available and maintained in the LMS (Workday Learning)
  • Supporting Operators and Maintenance Technicians on site to achieve learning outcomes associated with progression through training frameworks and monitoring the status of this progression
  • Travel to other operational sites and corporate offices may be required during the course of your work to deliver specialised training or support centralised Capability Team initiatives

About you

To be successful for this role, you will have:

  • Learning and development experience in a mining or industrial environment
