The Opportunity

We are seeking an enthusiastic Warehouse worker / Driver to to work on a full time basis. You will support our busy warehouse, our team of fencers and management.

The Role

It is essential for this person to be self-motivated, reliable and be prepared to show flexibility when needed. This person needs to be willing to learn and be cooperative in a friendly company environment.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Collecting fencing off cuts / rubbish with a trailer
  • Taking fencing off cuts / rubbish and disposing at the tip
  • Use of company car and trailer
  • Organisation of stock within the warehouse
  • Co-ordinating and arranging delivery of extra material to job sites
  • Packing and delivering materials to job sites
  • Communicating with co-workers regarding materials required
  • Unpacking incoming stock
  • Packing outgoing stock
  • Keeping up to date record of stock in factory
  • Purchasing materials as required
  • Maintaining and cleaning the warehouse
  • Painting timber
  • General factory duties including tidying, sweeping, cleaning equipment as required
  • Hold and supply tools to qualified staff
  • Assisting in a labour capacity on job sites

The Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a timber yard or construction industry desirable, so that product are familiar but not essential as training can be provided
  • Experience with timber advantageous
  • Drivers license essential
  • Ability to reverse/tow a trailer, company car and trailer provided
  • The ability to work within a team environment as well as unsupervised
  • Strong commitment to quality control and working to schedules
  • Your ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and staff at all levels will ensure your success in this role.
