High Intensity Disability Support Worker / Registered Nurse

Location: Wollert, VIC

Accessible Care is seeking a compassionate and skilled High Intensity Disability Support Worker or Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. We provide person-centred care and support to participants living with complex needs under the NDIS.

About the Role

This position involves providing high-quality care and daily support to a participant with complex medical and personal care requirements. We are seeking someone who is reliable, experienced, and passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability.

Shift Availability:

• Tuesdays: 7:45 am – 3:15 pm
• Some evenings: 3:00 pm – 9:00 pm
• Saturdays and possible Sundays

Key Responsibilities

• PEG feeding and nutrition support
• Bowel management and personal care
• Safe manual handling practices
• Medication administration in line with care plans
• Supporting a non-verbal participant using alternative communication methods
• Providing quality, empathetic support for participants with Motor Neurone Disease (MND)
• Promoting independence, dignity, and safety in daily living activities

Essential Requirements

• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• Minimum 2 years' experience in disability support or nursing
• Demonstrated skills in PEG feeding, bowel management, manual handling, and medication administration

Preferred Experience

• Supporting participants who are non-verbal
• Experience with MND (Motor Neurone Disease) care
