Sous Chef - Hurstville Ritz Hotel
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large Sydney based hotel group which encourages career growth opportunities. Hurstville Ritz Hotel is part of the Sonnel Hospitality Group which operates multiple venues throughout Sydney. Sonnel Hospitality is hiring a Sous Chef for the Hurstville Ritz Hotel, a well-established venue in Southern Sydney. The Sous Chef will oversee and assist the head chef in all kitchen operations, staffing & training, creating menus and dishes, maintaining targets & KPIS's, manage food preparation, and ensure high-quality dishes are served to customers. Working with front of house management and marketing to grow the businesses reach through various platforms, as well as communicating with our other venues team.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
- Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen management
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A passion for creating exceptional dishes and running efficient services
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail and consistency
- Leadership qualities, with the ability to train and motivate a team
- A composed personality that works easily with others
- Good knowledge of cost control, stock management, and food safety standards
- Attention to detail and creativity in menu planning & dish creation
- Someone who loves food and hospitality
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (Sous Chef or Senior CDP)
- Ability to lead and motivate a kitchen brigade
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- A commitment to maintaining high standards in food quality, cleanliness, and OH&S compliance
- A genuine passion for the industry and continuous learning
