We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Thai Chef to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Thai cuisine, a passion for culinary excellence, and the ability to manage all aspects of kitchen operations. This role involves everything from menu development to staff training, ensuring the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency are maintained at all times. Key Responsibilities

Menu & Culinary Development:

  • Develop and create innovative and seasonal menus in consultation with the Manager and Restaurant owner, focusing on authentic and modern Thai cuisine.
  • Maintain an advanced knowledge of food preparation techniques and plating skills.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the restaurant's quality and aesthetic guidelines.

Kitchen Management:

  • Oversee all kitchen operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and food ordering.
  • Plan and budget inventory and stock to ensure ingredients are always fresh with minimal wastage.
  • Implement and enforce strict food safety and hygiene practices, prioritizing a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Team Leadership & Training:

  • Train, guide, and mentor junior kitchen staff on proper food preparation, handling, and safety procedures.
  • Foster an efficient, creative, and respectful working relationship with all management and staff.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism and a strong work ethic.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all dishes are plated and portioned in accordance with restaurant guidelines before they are served to customers.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients, prepared food, and finished dishes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1-3 years of previous experience as a Chef in a professional kitchen setting.
  • A Diploma in Kitchen Management, Commercial Cookery, or a similar relevant qualification.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in preparing a wide range of Thai dishes.
  • Proven ability to manage a kitchen, control costs, and lead a team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be legally able to work in Australia.

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Thai Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience and excellent knowledge of Thai cuisine, with a passion for delivering high-quality, authentic dishes. You will work closely with our Chef and other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations, maintain our high standards of food preparation and hygiene, and contribute to a positive and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Food Preparation & Cooking:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of authentic Thai dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist the Head Chef with menu development, food preparation, and other kitchen tasks as required.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner, maintaining high quality and consistency.

Kitchen Operations:

  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workstation and kitchen area at all times.
  • Adhere strictly to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Manage and store food inventory properly to minimize waste.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work effectively as part of a team, communicating clearly with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff.
  • Follow instructions and contribute to a respectful and collaborative work environment.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure all dishes are plated correctly and portioned accurately before they are served to customers.
  • Assist in monitoring the quality of ingredients and final dishes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 1-3 years of previous experience as a Cook in a professional kitchen setting.
  • A Certificate IV in Kitchen Management/Commercial Cookery or a relevant Diploma.
  • Proven knowledge and practical experience in preparing a wide range of Thai dishes.
