About the role

Batstone Stone Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Apprentice Stonemason to join our team in Rocklea, Queensland. This is a full-time role where you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in the building trades industry. As an Apprentice Stonemason, you will work alongside experienced professionals to create high-quality stone products and installations.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting experienced stonemasons with the fabrication, installation and finishing of stone products
  • Learning techniques for cutting, shaping, polishing and installing various types of stone
  • Performing basic maintenance and cleaning of tools and equipment
  • Following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Participating in on-the-job training and completing your apprenticeship requirements

What we're looking for

  • A passion for the building trades and a desire to learn the art of stonemasonry
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions carefully
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
