About the role

Join the dynamic team at Bedshed as a full-time Sales Assistant in our Townsville, Queensland store. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and driving sales of our premium bedding and home furnishing products. This role offers flexibility and stability in your work schedule with the ability to achieve weekly sales commissions.

What you'll be doing

  1. Providing a warm and welcoming shopping experience for all customers
  2. Demonstrating product features and benefits to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions
  3. Maintaining a high level of product knowledge to offer tailored recommendations
  4. Achieving individual and team sales targets through exceptional selling skills
  5. Ensuring the store is well-presented and merchandised to showcase our products
  6. Handling cash and payments in an accurate and efficient manner
  7. Assisting with stock management and inventory control

What we're looking for

  1. Previous experience in a retail or customer service environment, preferably in the home furnishings or bedding industry
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build rapport with customers
  3. A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and a commitment to achieving sales targets
  4. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  5. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  6. Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and public holidays
