Job Description

Octane Software Solutions, an IBM Gold Partner specialising in IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Data, AI, and Automation, is seeking a talented TM1 Developer to join our Sydney-based consulting team.

In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain Planning Analytics models and automation processes that help finance and operations teams at leading enterprises make faster, smarter business decisions. You'll work closely with senior consultants and enterprise clients to deliver innovative data-driven planning, forecasting, and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) cubes, dimensions, and rules.
  • Develop and optimise TurboIntegrator (TI) processes for data integration and automation.
  • Partner with finance stakeholders to translate business requirements into TM1 solutions.
  • Build dynamic reports, dashboards, and visualisations using Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW).
  • Provide technical support, issue resolution, and performance tuning for TM1 applications.
  • Document processes, data flows, and system architecture for maintainability.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience developing IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) solutions.
  • Solid understanding of TM1 Rules, TurboIntegrator (TI), and cube design principles.
  • Familiarity with TM1 Web, Perspectives, and Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW).
  • Exposure to SQL, ETL tools, and data modelling concepts.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in finance, FP&A, or corporate reporting is highly regarded.
