The Role:

bestchance Child Family Care is currently seeking an exceptional individual with a positive and proactive approach to join our passionate and supportive Early Years team as one of our Kindergarten Coordinators in the Cardinia and Baw Baw areas.

We have an interest based children's focus in our services and we are looking for a like-minded passionate Kindergarten Coordinator who wants to make a real difference in the lives of children, families and staff every day.

The Kindergarten Coordinator will provide operational leadership to manage, support and build capacity of the Early Years staff in our Cardinia and Baw Baw services. Working as the Nominated Supervisor across a portfolio of sessional Kindergarten Programs you will play a pivotal role supporting and developing Educators & Teachers at each service.

You will lead the team to deliver high quality programs that are inclusive and meet the needs of all children and families. Additionally this role has responsibility for managing the people and financial resources of services.

You will stand out if you:

  • have experience in early years service delivery, management and planning to deliver compliant and responsive children's services that meet the needs of the local community
  • have a strong understanding of the National Quality Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • have a good understanding of financial drivers to effectively manage budgets
  • a desire to develop warm, respectful and positive relationships with staff, children and families
  • a genuine passion in creating a safe, secure and nurturing environment
  • are creative with an enthusiastic hands-on children's approach
  • an ability to develop rapport and positive working relationships with stakeholders and families from a broad range of social and cultural backgrounds.

In addition to the above you will need the following to be considered for this role:

  • completed a Degree or Post Graduate qualification in Education (Early Childhood) or related discipline with experience in leadership of early years services (Kindergarten and Long Day Care)
  • ready to take the next step in your career by leading the Early Years staff in our Dandenong services
  • hold a valid Employee Working with Children Check
  • hold a current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting)
  • successfully completed 'Protecting Children - Mandatory reporting and other obligations for the Early Childhood Sector' training
  • have a well-developed understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Standards and National Regulations
