About the Role
As the Staff Engineer for one or more Value Stream(s), you will apply core concepts, technology and domain expertise to effectively develop software solutions to meet business needs. You will contribute to building the brighter future for all by ensuring that our team builds the best solutions possible using modern development practices that ensure both functional and non-functional needs are met.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Deliver and build the highest quality of work
- Demonstrates strong leadership without relying on authority, fostering trust and collaboration across teams.
- Influence the organisation's culture around best practices in testing, rollouts, monitoring, scaling, etc.
- Contribute to and drive the architectural direction across systems and teams, ensuring alignment with business goals and long-term technical strategy.
- Identifies technical challenges and implements solutions across multiple services and team boundaries
- Contribute a comprehensive understanding of current and emerging technologies, making sure we're as close as possible to the bleeding edge without getting cut.
- Play an active part shaping the way we do things by following and encouraging others to adopt best practices in coding, and other processes all throughout the SDLC.
- Ensure development work confirms to standards such as, design, coding and quality to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
- Contribute within the SDLC providing constructive direction and actionable feedback, for both feature and investigative (POCs) engineering efforts.
- Provide mentoring, technical interviews, onboarding, documentation – things that help the team level up
- Lead knowledge sharing sessions and encourage others to share knowledge and expertise.
Role Requirements:
- Extensive real world demonstrable experience building & deploying scalable, high-performance applications.
- Passionate about software development and modern software architecture, and sharing the passion with others
- Extensive experience working across technology teams/environments
- Deep understanding of coding practices (SRP, DRY, decoupling, TDD, BDD).
- Development background working with cloud platforms (Azure a plus), C#, messaging buses/systems and SQL/NoSQL persistence solutions.
- A firm understanding of software design, development and testing best practices.
- Strong collaboration skills
