About the Role

We are seeking a Proficient Level Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our growing NDIS practice. This role primarily supports children and adolescents with disability and complex behaviours, while also providing clinical supervision and mentoring to two Core Level Behaviour Support Practitioners.

This position is ideal for an experienced practitioner who values high-quality, ethical behaviour support, flexible work arrangements, and professional growth within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities
Client Support
  • Provide high-quality behaviour support services to NDIS participants, predominantly children and young people
  • Conduct comprehensive functional behaviour assessments
  • Develop, implement, and review Behaviour Support Plans, including Interim and Comprehensive BSPs
  • Deliver family-centred, strengths-based, and trauma-informed support
  • Collaborate with families, schools, allied health professionals, and other stakeholders
  • Ensure behaviour support practices align with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
Supervision & Leadership
  • Provide clinical supervision to two Core Level Behaviour Support Practitioners
  • Support supervisees with assessments, BSP development, implementation, and professional growth
  • Review behaviour support documentation to ensure quality and compliance
  • Model ethical, evidence-based, and child-safe practice
Compliance & Documentation
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
  • Monitor and report on restrictive practices, ensuring reduction and elimination where possible
  • Participate in audits, reporting, and continuous improvement activities as required

Essential Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner (Proficient Level) with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
  • Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g., Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Education, Behaviour Analysis, or related field)
  • Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents with disability
  • Sound knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support and the NDIS framework
  • Experience providing supervision or mentoring to less experienced practitioners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
