Position Profile
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual the opportunity to develop their knowledge of research methodologies to facilitate and coordinate research projects and clinical trials within the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Research Unit. The successful applicant will demonstrate a clear understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and its practical application to trial management. Key activities will include patient screening and recruitment, delivery and compliance of protocol approved interventions, accurate data collection, managing ethics and governance submissions, amendments, and safety reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements, and assisting with negotiation, preparation, and execution of study related contracts. Knowledge of inflammatory bowel disease conditions, the WA Health Research Governance System (RGS) or previous experience undertaking clinical trials is desirable, but not essential.
The Clinical Nurse (Research) has professional accountability to the Nursing and Midwifery Research Unit, demonstrating a positive commitment to relevant guidelines and legislation, and in alignment with the SMHS Research Strategy

To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments).
