About Us

Reactive Plumbing, Drains & Electrical is a fast-growing residential services business operating across Sydney, Newcastle, Gold Coast, and Brisbane. With 12+ years of Above & Beyond service, we are now seeking an Internal Accounts Person to join our finance team as we expand nationally.

About the Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will be responsible for transactional processing, reconciliations, and timely reporting to both internal and external stakeholders. This position has been created to strengthen the finance function, ensuring accurate and efficient preparation of financial information across multiple entities. We're located in Rouse Hill of Sydney and this role is an office based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day transactional accounting including customer receipting, supplier invoicing, and weekly payment runs
  • Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations across the group
  • Support month-end close through journal postings and reporting
  • Maintain accurate customer and supplier master data, including corporate card administration
  • Maintain fixed asset and lease schedules
  • Provide Servicem8 / Service Titan support to internal business users
  • Support weekly payroll processing
  • Liaise with external accountants, insurers, and financiers as required
  • Provide support on ad hoc tasks and small projects
  • Contribute to systems and process improvements to drive efficiency in business operations

About You

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented professional who can thrive in a growing, multi-entity business.

  • Relevant bachelor degree (Accounting, Finance, or related) or equivalent experience; working towards CPA/CA highly regarded
  • 3–5 years' experience in a similar accounts role
  • Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Xero and QuickBooks; familiarity with ServiceM8 or Service Titan advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Background in a service-based industry (plumbing, electrical, or trades) highly regarded
