This brand-new, government-owned childcare and kindergarten centre at Wedderburn College in Wedderburn, one hour north-west of Bendigo, offers an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact in your career.
Opening its doors in 2026, the purpose-built 90-place centre provides childcare and kindergarten for three and four-year-olds, with plans to expand to pre-prep. The centre operates Monday to Friday, 7 am to 6 pm, providing options for both full-time and part-time employment.

The Early Childhood Educator will support the team to deliver high-quality early childhood education, guided by evidence-informed contemporary pedagogy and practice. They will be responsible for contributing to the planning and implementing the educational program, monitoring children's progress, and supporting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Your key responsibilities will include;
- Working together with the Room Leader, the Educator will support the provision of an environment where children can flourish and thrive, supported by evidence-informed, pedagogy and practice that upholds all elements of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations and the National Quality Standards and is guided by the philosophy of Early Learning Victoria.
- Performs tasks consistent with qualifications under limited direction and able to manage workload efficiently.
- Demonstrates reflective practice where feedback is used constructively to improve teaching and learning experiences.
- Supports the creation of a positive learning environment by thoughtfully designing spaces which facilitate learning and rich interactions.
- Uses respectful communication to guide and support children's social, emotional and cognitive development.
- Builds respectful relationships with families and staff and ensures that all children feel safe and valued within a supportive classroom.
You are a Cert 3 qualified Educator who loves working in a collaborative culture and values building effective relationships with children, families and colleagues to maximise impact of the centre in the local community.
The service is open from 7am till 6pm, so flexibility will be required to work a roster during those hours.
