About the role

This is a dual-classified AHP1/AHP2 position, with final classification dependent on the successful candidate's skills and experience. The role offers an excellent opportunity for a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to either begin or advance their career within a supportive and progressive clinical environment.

As an AHP1, you will contribute to the delivery of Nuclear Medicine services by performing a range of standard imaging procedures with developing independence. At the AHP2 level, you will undertake more complex molecular imaging and theranostic procedures with minimal supervision, while also guiding and mentoring junior staff and students. You will actively contribute to research initiatives and quality assurance programs, playing a vital role in the continual improvement of service delivery.

About You

You are a qualified and motivated Nuclear Medicine Technologist, committed to delivering safe, high-quality imaging services within a multidisciplinary clinical setting. You demonstrate sound clinical judgment, technical skill, and the ability to contribute effectively to both team operations and continuous service improvement.

  • Hold a relevant degree in Medical Radiation and current (or eligible) registration and licensing under the Radiation Protection and Control Act, SA 2021.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a broad range of Nuclear Medicine imaging and therapy procedures independently, using initiative and clinical judgment.
  • Strong interpersonal, teaching, and communication skills, with proven capacity to collaborate effectively across departments and supervise staff and students.
  • Knowledgeable in safe radiation practices, RIS/PACS systems, patient-centred care principles, and relevant legal, cultural, and regulatory frameworks.
