Allocator / Operations Coordinator

  • Full-Time across 4 days (Monday – Thursday)
  • Based in Tomago (Newcastle), NSW

About The Role
Reporting the to Sydney Operations Manager, the Nightshift Operations Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and supporting overnight transport operations. This role ensures smooth execution of linehaul trips, driver welfare and operational readiness for the following day.

Key Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Conduct driver debriefs and ensure all post-run checks are completed accurately
  • Collaborate with the local operations to ensure the following day's schedule is fully prepared
  • Coordinate freight and driver allocations effectively to meet delivery timelines
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with drivers and customers through clear and proactive communication
  • Working with the warehouse team to ensure freight is loaded correctly and assisting with unloading/loading trailers when required
  • Effective coordinating of freight and drivers
  • Communicating and building strong relationships with our Drivers and Customers

To Be Successful In This Role You'll Have

  • Excellent communication skills and able to work well with others
  • Great customer service & organisational skills
  • Accurate data entry and attention to detail
  • Able to effectively problem solve & think outside the box
  • HR / MR / MC / FR License is highly regarded
  • Previous experience in the use of Transport Management Systems preferred
