The Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and dynamic SHEQ Manager to join our leadership team and take ownership of our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) systems. In this pivotal role, you'll work closely with management and operational teams to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the SHEQ management program and systems, ensure compliance with Western Australian and national standards, while driving a culture of continuous improvement and proactive safety.
Key responsibilities:
· Champion SHEQ initiatives across the organisation and serve as the subject matter expert.
· Develop, implement, and maintain SHEQ policies and procedures in line with ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 and 55001 standards.
· Lead regular audits, risk assessments, safety inspections and incident investigations.
· Monitor and report SHEQ performance metrics; drive corrective actions and improvements.
· Foster a proactive safety culture and coach teams on compliance, quality, and risk management.
· Develop strategies to minimise risks and promote a culture of safety by empowering leadership, engaging employees, and promoting awareness.
· Ensure alignment with Western Australia and Australian legislative requirements, including Work Health and Safety Regulations. Stay up to date with changing regulations and proactively adjust the organisation's practices as needed
· Collaborate across departments to integrate SHEQ into operational planning and new projects.
About you
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
· A degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related field.
· Minimum 5 years' experience in a SHEQ role within an operational environment.
· In-depth knowledge of WA and Australian HSE legislation and industry standards.
· Proven leadership experience (5+ years) with the ability to influence and drive change.
· SHEQ certification(s) such as ISO 9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 or equivalent.
· Strong analytical, investigative and communication skills.
