The Company

Dayshelf Fire Systems is a privately owned and operated successful fire services company providing specialist services to commercial, industrial and residential building sectors. A leader in the fire services industry for over 40 years we provide efficient and reliable maintenance and servicing of fire equipment to our clients throughout Southeast Queensland and Northern NSW as well as national project installation services. We value technical and professional excellence, integrity and respect in our team.

Key Responsibilities

We require a suitably Qualified Plumber that is willing to learn and develop their skills in the fire industry. The successful applicant will be assisted when in training to develop skills in the necessary fields within the industry.

In accordance with Australian standards your key responsibilities will be:-

  • Testing, inspection and repairs of Fire Hydrant System, Fire Hose reels & extinguishers.
  • Testing, inspection, maintenance, and repair of Commercial and Domestic Pumps
  • Modification to and/or installation of all Domestic and commercial Systems
  • Reporting on your activities, compliance issues and health and safety matters

The ideal candidate must have:

  • Qualified Plumber
  • A valid Plumbers licence
  • A current QBCC Licence (ideal but not essential)
  • A valid Open Driver's Licence
  • Knowledge of Australian standards and codes relevant to the fire industry
  • A strong service focus
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to lead and deal with a range of people
  • The ability to work autonomously with a pro-active approach to managing deadlines
  • Good understanding of construction industry
  • A high degree of health and safety awareness
  • A level of fitness to be able to undertake a broad range of physical tasks
