Bartender – I Cardis, O'Connell Street

I Cardis is a new Mediterranean restaurant opening mid October on O'Connell Street, North Adelaide. We are seeking an experienced Bartender to join our professional and friendly team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, helpful service in a clean, welcoming environment
  • Prepare, mix, and serve beers, wines, cocktails and non-alcoholic beverages to high standard
  • Maintain excellent presentation standards of drinks
  • Demonstrate strong food knowledge to support pairing suggestions and enhance the guest experience
  • Handle cash/EFTPOS transactions accurately
  • Keep bar area clean, stocked, properly organised; ensure compliance with food & beverage safety regulations
  • Promote up-sales naturally through drink suggestions and menu knowledge

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience working behind a bar in a casual fine dining or premium restaurant setting, including experience with à la carte service.
  • Strong knowledge of wine (especially South Australian wines), beer, spirits and current cocktail trends.
  • Valid RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate required.
  • Excellent communication skills; polite, professional, well-presented.
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain high service standards during busy periods.
  • Solid understanding of restaurant service procedures, particularly fine dining (e.g. ordering, pairing, timing)
  • Reliability: able to work Tuesday to Saturday
