Mechanic LV

Due to the continued growth at Stronamax and strong customer demand a position has become available for an Automotive Technician / Motor Mechanic LV/2nd, 3rd or 4th year apprentice.

Responsibilities:

• Providing expert advice in relation to current mechanical condition of vehicles
• Taking all necessary steps to diagnose to ensure the correct operation of vehicles.
• Diagnose and Repair the mechanical parts of the motor vehicle such as the engine, transmission and the suspension systems
• Providing guidance and training to apprentice service technicians
• Maintaining a safe working environment through ensuring the correct operation of all tools and specialised equipment.
• Demonstrate behaviours that align with company policies, organisational values.
• Contribute to building a positive team spirit.
• And can step up as a 2ic role when needed.

Requirements:

• Trade qualification as a Motor Mechanic or completion of at least year 1 of apprenticeship.
• Must hold a current driver's license with the ability to drive manual and automatic.
• Excellent problem solving skills with quality workmanship and an eye for detail
• Previous dealership experience will be highly regarded but not essential.
• Road worthy and air conditioning tickets are desirable
• Minimum 1-2 years of automotive experience required

Pay: $40,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 90 per week
