Newcastle Maitland Hunter, Australia Complete Staff Solutions Pty Ltd Full time $45,000 - $60,000 per year

We are currently looking for experienced Kitchenhands / Servery staff to work within the main kitchen and serving areas of Aged Care facilities at Toronto and Booragul.

These are casual positions, which means your hours will vary from week to week and shifts may be at short notice.

The kitchen environments are very busy so you must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.

We are seeking candidates available for the afternoon shifts being rostered from 3pm to 7.30pm.

Duties:

  • Greeting residents and offering them beverages.
  • Taking their food orders from the menu and serving accordingly.
  • Follow dietary sheets to serve residents the correct meal consistency.
  • Preparing meal trays and delivering to the residents rooms.
  • Assisting with basic, general food preparation.
  • Making tea, coffee and cold beverages.
  • Making sandwiches.
  • Heating food to the appropriate levels before serving.
  • Recording temperatures of food, fridge, freezers and dishwasher accurately.
  • Labelling food and storing appropriately.
  • Cleaning and maintaining a tidy kitchen.
  • Set up / pack away dining areas.
  • Wash and dry all dishes, polish cutlery and store correctly.
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.

To be successful:

  • Have at least 6 months experience working within a kitchen.
  • You will be confident to work on your own at times.
  • You must be able to provide two recent work referees.
  • Hold a current criminal / police clearance or be willing to obtain one immediately.
  • Hold a current driver's licence and have reliable transport.
