About the role

iDrilling Australia Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Drill Fitter for an ongoing position in our workshop based in Neerabup WA 6031.

What you'll be doing

· Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various drill rigs (e.g. Hydco 350 & 800, Schramm T450, PRD and Laynes)

· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic faults

· Conduct breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime

· Work closely with site teams

· Carry out component change-outs and rebuilds according to OEM specifications

· Ensure accurate maintenance records and reports are completed

· Assist with pre-start checks and field service activities

· Liaise with supervisors and other trades to coordinate maintenance activities

· Support continuous improvement by reporting defects and suggesting solutions

· Maintain workshop and work area cleanliness and safe operating standards

· Assist with other maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor

What we're looking for

· Trade qualified Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitter (Cert III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent)

· Minimum 2–3 years' experience working on drill rigs in mining or heavy industry

· Sound knowledge of hydraulic systems, drill rig mechanics, and diesel engines

· Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics

· Familiar with diagnostic tools and software

· Basic electrical and auto-electrical fault identification (advantageous)

· Basic welding and fabrication skills (desirable)

· HR Driver's Licence – Preferred

· HRW Licence – Forklift

· Working at Heights
