  • A background in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics / Aerospace Engineering with a degree qualification
  • Experience across the systems engineering lifecycle including requirements definition and analysis methods, system and subsystem design, test and integration
  • Experience in risk identification & mitigation practices, including seeking opportunities for continuous business improvement
  • Significant experience working with a broad set of internal and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Understanding of contemporary and emerging systems engineering practices and tooling (e.g. MBSE, Agile methodology)
  • Exposure in the Integration, Test and Evaluation of Combat Systems Products into Naval Platforms or equivalent complex Military Systems having challenging constraints is desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams.
  • An Australian NV-1 security clearance and ability to access/handle Export Controlled technology, data and information.

Special Requirements:Your responsibilities will include:
  • Providing engineering guidance for the weapon system to the customer (RAN).
  • Liaising with the stakeholders to assist with the development and maintenance of the technical framework.
  • Conducting Engineering Change activities in compliance with the formal engineering change process.
  • Engaging with the stakeholders with respect to the planning and scheduling of engineering changes.
  • Assisting with the drafting of Liaison Information Transfer Reports to engage foreign support in consultation with the SMEs.
  • Assist with the preparation of Computer Program Test Observation Reports resulting from Combat System baseline updates and operational activities.
  • Interact with the Systems Engineering Integration Team and Transverse Engineering disciplines.
