About the Role

We're seeking a 1st Year Apprentice Electrician to join our team in Melbourne's Eastern Suburbs. You'll work alongside qualified electricians, gaining hands-on experience while completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology over four years through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow WHS requirements
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Interpret drawings, diagrams, and specifications
  • Solve problems in single and three-phase low voltage systems
  • Install and terminate low voltage wiring, switchgear, and appliances
  • Verify compliance of electrical installations
  • Install and maintain telecommunications/data cabling
  • Complete tasks such as:
  • Power and lighting circuits
  • Antenna, fire/smoke alarm, and alarm wiring
  • Switchboards and control gear
  • FTTH provisions and hub installations
  • Voice, data, and fibre-optic terminations
  • Accurately complete and submit JSA's
  • Perform other duties as required
  • Attend RTO training (typically one day per week or in block release)

About You

  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre-apprenticeship)
  • Strong communication and safety awareness
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Own basic hand tools for electrical work
  • Driver's licence and reliable vehicle required
