We collaborate with landowners, investors, and communities to deliver renewable energy projects that are locally supported, economically sound, and environmentally responsible – creating shared value every step of the way.

Now, we're on the lookout for a passionate Senior Project Development Engineer to join our growing Development Team. Here's the exciting part — this role is 100% remote, based in Brisbane. That means no commute, no cubicles — just meaningful work and the opportunity to help drive Australia's clean energy transition.


The Role

As a Senior Project Development Engineer, you'll lead the delivery of planning and development approvals for solar and battery projects across Australia. You'll manage environmental and planning assessments, coordinate specialist consultants, oversee connection applications, and ensure all projects meet regulatory requirements.

You'll be accountable for budgets, resources, and approvals — influencing ACEnergy's growth in the Australian market while helping deliver projects that power a sustainable future.

Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing utility-scale solar farms and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • Strong understanding of grid connection processes and regulatory frameworks across Australia.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, including government, utilities, consultants, and community groups.
  • Effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, designers, project managers, procurement and finance specialists.
  • Proficient in project planning, budgeting, and program management tools; PMP certification preferred.
  • Solid background in development management, and construction.
  • Well-versed in development approval processes across state governments and local councils.
  • Strong financial acumen in project budgeting, revenue forecasting, and cost control.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities
