Perth, Western Australia LO-GO Appointments WA Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

This is a recruitment pool for upcoming Rates and Finance temporary assignments with the possibility of extension(s). This pool will initially be used to fill temporary vacancies; however, it may also be utilised to fill permanent positions should they become available.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience in Local Government rating and financial procedures and relevant legislation;
  • Experience in Rating procedures, review & reconciliation of transactions between non-current assets (sale, disposal, capitalisation, depreciation etc), insurance claims management & renewal process, preparation of the Annual Budget, and supervision of monthly finance reporting and BAS/GST returns and assist with general finance and accounting functions;
  • Knowledge of local government specific software packages such as Synergy Soft, Council First TechnologyOne (TechOne/Council One)and Authority;
  • Strong numeracy and computer skills knowledge;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure with strong prioritisation skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • Diploma level qualification (or higher)
  • WA Driver's Licence
