Service Technician

We're seeking a skilled A-Grade Electrician to join our Service Team, specialising in automatic doors and some industrial door systems.

This role will primarily focus on service, repairs, and breakdowns for automatic door products, with occasional major works and maintenance on industrial and specialty door systems. You'll also support other dormakaba products through commissioning and installation when required.

As part of our commitment to delivering reliable 24/7 customer support, you'll participate in a rotational after-hours on-call roster.

The role services customers from Brisbane CBD through to the northern suburbs, so we're looking for someone based in Brisbane's north.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, service, and repair automatic and industrial door systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and electrical fault-finding.
• Assist with commissioning and installation of dormakaba products.
• Work independently to complete jobs safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Maintain strong customer communication and represent dormakaba professionally.
• Participate in the after-hours on-call roster on rotation.

As our next Service Electrician, you'll bring a strong electrical background and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. You'll be confident working independently in the field, communicating clearly with customers, and delivering a high standard of workmanship on every job.

• Unrestricted Electrical Licence (essential)
• Valid Australian Driver's Licence with a clean driving record
• Experience with three-phase electrical systems (essential)
• Proven fault-finding and problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• White Card (or willingness to obtain)
• Scissor Lift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
• Forklift Licence (LF) – advantageous but not essential
• Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening
