Junior Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Junior Solicitor to join our dynamic team at Goldfields Community Legal Centre in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. As a Junior Solicitor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality legal services to members of the local community. This full-time position offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a diverse range of legal practice areas.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting legal research and analysis to support the preparation of legal documents, contracts, and other materials
• Assisting with the drafting and review of legal documents, such as contracts, agreements, and correspondence
• Providing legal advice and support to clients on a wide range of matters, including family law, criminal law, and civil disputes
• Attending court hearings and client meetings as required
• Collaborating with senior solicitors and other team members to deliver exceptional client service
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and case files
• Continuously expanding your knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices

What we're looking for

• A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD) degree
• Admission to practice as a solicitor in Australia
• Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A commitment to providing high-quality legal services and client-focused outcomes
• Knowledge of the legal issues and challenges facing the local community
