The Role

This is a truly unique opportunity for someone to establish a professional career in the hospitality industry. You will be assisting the Manager in all aspects of daily operations with a pathway to the experience and qualifications needed to evolve to a managerial role without limits.

No experience necessary. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training in all aspects of the role. The opportunity to complete a Certificate III in Hospitality may also be available to the right candidate.

The role is a permanent position, 7-8 hours per day, five days per week (38 hours per week total) on a shift roster that could include weekend work, however in order to attract the right candidate, we will also consider part time and casual arrangements.

We are a small, friendly team and the business is run family-style. There is plenty of interaction with interesting guests and opportunities to grow as you learn more about the hospitality business.

Responsibilities

You will be the right-hand person to the Manager. You will learn to supervise and assist the housekeeping staff, ensure the general premises are clean and tidy, manage the guest check in and check out process, manage bookings via the front desk portal, monitor stock levels and order supplies as necessary, attend to guest requests and all of the details that ensure that the operation is running smoothly and everyone is happy. Ultimately you will be able to run the business in the Manager's absence.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

· Reliable, presentable, fit and energetic.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $24.95 – $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 24 per week
