Can you offer a listening ear and a prayerful heart to someone longing to be heard?
We're looking for a compassionate pastoral care volunteer to visit a lovely man who adores his home but feels the weight of social isolation. He is seeking someone to talk to, pray with, and share his story. Apply now and be a gentle presence to bring comfort, connection, and spiritual companionship.
You'll supplement and complement the work of our HammondCare At Home Pastoral Care Coordinator, and under their direction you may:
* Support people to meet their spiritual needs
* Nurture spiritual development
Skills required for this role:
High level of interpersonal skills, including strong empathy and listening skills.
Pastoral Care training for example Chaplaincy, Clinical Pastoral Education, or you could attend HammondCare pastoral care training- Spiritual Care Series, in preparation to becoming a pastoral care volunteer.
Spiritual Care Series North Turramurra - Face to face
When: starts Wednesday 7th May, concludes 2nd July 2025. Note a break for the week 4th June
Time:2:00 – 4:00pm
Where: Leighton Lodge, Nth Turramurra

• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Friday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
