Ideally, you're someone who… is a highly experienced and versatile professional with a minimum of 3 years in interstate trucking, specifically transporting construction materials across Australia, holding an MC license. You are proficient in operating various construction machinery and are capable of performing general labour tasks when not driving. You will possess a strong understanding of Australian road regulations and safety standards, coupled with excellent time management and communication skills, enabling you to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining an unwavering commitment to safety.

We are seeking someone to join our team on a casual basis, but we are committed to finding a candidate for a more permanent position who would join our team

Salary/wages

$50 per hour flat

Food allowance whilst in transit

Additional allowances, where applicable

Hours/days

6:1 roster (Weekly)

up to 60hrs per week

Where you'll be working

Transporting construction materials, equipment, and supplies to various job sites across Australia and based on one of our projects as required.

Main duties and responsibilities

Interstate Transport:

  • Safely operate a heavy vehicle to transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to various job sites across Australia.
  • Ensure timely delivery and pickup of materials according to the project schedule.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness, perform basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery logs, fuel records, and any required compliance documentation.
  • Adhere to all road safety regulations, transport laws, and company procedures.

On-Site Machinery Operation (when not traveling):

  • Operate various types of machinery on construction sites to assist in project tasks.
  • Perform daily pre-start checks, conduct routine maintenance, and report any machinery issues promptly.
  • Work closely with the construction team to ensure machinery is used effectively to meet project deadlines.

General Labour Assistance (when not traveling or operating machinery):

  • Assist with general labour tasks, including site preparation, material handling, and site clean-up.
  • Collaborate with other workers to ensure a smooth workflow on-site and contribute to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the team.

Essential

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an interstate truck driver, with a proven track record in the transportation of construction materials.
  • A current MC (Multi-combination) License is essential.
  • Ability to perform manual labour tasks and assist with general construction duties.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian road regulations and safety standards.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to safety on the job and a willingness to follow company safety procedures.

Desirable

Solar construction experience

Experience operating construction machinery (e.g., excavators, telehandlers, drill rigs, etc.) preferred.
