Role description: 

Arcadis is looking for experienced road designers on a casual basis to be part of major D&C Tender Design projects expected during the last quarter of 2025 and first quarter of The projects expected involve High Speed Motorways and Major Urban Arterials

Role accountabilities:
  • Manage, plan, resource and complete the assigned delivery of the Road Design component of projects within agreed budgets and deadlines; 
  • Identifying, communicating and optioneering with the team to resolve technical road design issues.
  • Ensure the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project; and 
  • Maintain ongoing communication with relevant Project Managers/Team Leaders and clients when required, to ensure effective communications on matters relevant to the project. 

Qualification & Experience:

  • A background in road design with suitable a degree or qualification relevant to Civil Engineering. 
  • Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads is essential. 
  • Experience in a project delivery environment with demonstrated participation in the delivery of major road infrastructure projects. 
  • Knowledge of Austroads Guide to Road Design is essential.
  • Knowledge of local authority CADD standards and deliverables (i.e. TfNSW, VICRoads, QLD TMR)
