About the role

SouthCut Plant and Civil is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in Lang Lang, Victoria. As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the smooth execution of our construction projects, operating a range of heavy machinery with precision and care.

What you'll be doing

  • Safely operate various heavy machinery, such as excavators and Posi tracks to complete a wide range of construction tasks
  • Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Work closely with the construction crew to coordinate the efficient movement and placement of materials and equipment
  • Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with the site supervisor to troubleshoot any operational issues and implement effective solutions
  • Contribute to the overall success of the construction project by delivering high-quality work within established timelines

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Machine Operator in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy machinery, such as excavators, Posi Tracks and bulldozers
  • Strong understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols, and environmental regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected challenges on the job
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work
  • Valid driver's licence and construction equipment operator's certificate
  • HR License (Non-Synchro) HC is desirable.
