About the role
Hydro Pump Services is seeking a full-time Pump Fitter/Technician to join our team in Jandakot, Western Australia. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and installation of a variety of industrial & fire pumps and related equipment. As a key member of our specialised team, you will play an integral part in the growth and operation of critical pumping systems for our diverse range of clients.
Roster:Permanent Full-time
What you'll be doing
- Conduct diagnostic assessments and troubleshoot issues with industrial pumps, motors and related components
- Dismantle, repair, rebuild and reassemble pumps to restore them to optimum working condition
- Perform preventative maintenance checks and make necessary adjustments or replacements
- Install new pump systems and integrate them into existing equipment and infrastructure
- Remote site inspections and works
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure prompt and efficient delivery of pump services
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used
- Adhere to all relevant health, safety and environmental regulations
- Directly involved with the growth of the division
What we're looking for
- Formal trade qualification in Pump Fitter/Machinist, Sprinkler Fitter or a related field
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in an industrial setting
- Wet fire industry experience (desirable)
- Small Diesel engine and motor experience(desirable)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret technical schematics, drawings and manuals
- Proficient with the use of hand tools, power tools and specialised pump servicing equipment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to fault-finding and repairs
- Preferably those with mine site experience however this is NOT considered a FIFO role
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
- Current driver's license and the ability to travel to client sites as required
