Who are we:

Lead Advisory Group is a locally owned and operated business advisory firm offering a range of services from tax and accounting to SMSFs, lending, insurance and more We are currently seeking an accountant to join our business services team.

Goals of the position:

General Accounting:

  • Complete general accounting duties related to sole traders, partnerships, and companies, including reconciliations, preparation of accounts, draft statements, and BAS/IAS.

Income Tax Returns:

  • Prepare income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, partnerships, companies, and trusts.

Software:

  • Be able to utilise a wide range of software and technology including MS word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, QBOA Intuit, Xero, MYOB, and QuickBooks Reckon.

Other Tax Responsibilities:

  • General duties including benchmarking, reconciliation of STP, reconciliation of annual Workcover remuneration, and preparation of payroll tax.

The successful candidate must:

  • Have a degree qualification in accounting, or equivalent.
  • Be systematic and organised, with strong attention to detail.
  • Be committed to confidentiality and quality client service.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • CA/CPA qualification preferred, or actively working towards professional certification
