TYRE FITTER - FIFO

BDS Mechanical is currently offering casual positions (with the potential to transition to full-time) for a Tyre Fitter to join our team in Australia. This FIFO role provides the opportunity to work on-site and is an excellent chance to be part of a large, stable, and well-established company.

BDS Mechanical Repairs is a growing, family-owned business offering mechanical, auto electrical, and welding repair services, both in-house and on-site. With 22 fully equipped workshop locations throughout Queensland and a fleet of over 160 field service units, our team covers more than 600,000 km² across Queensland and Western Australia. No matter where you're located, BDS is always within reach.

The successful candidates will possess the following:

  • Tyre diagnostic experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong fault finding skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Extra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageous

Your duties will include:

  • Inspect tyres for damages and advise customers on replacement tyres needed
  • Refit tyres using air-driven equipment
  • Puncture repairs
  • Adjust and carry out wheel alignments, rotation and balancing
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on vehicles
